Marlène Laruelle

Russia/Central Asia expert

Currently Research Professor of International Affairs at the Elliott School of international Affairs (George Washington University), she is also Associate Director of the Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies and head the ‘Central Asia’ research program of the university.

 

She co-chairs PONARS-Eurasia and her works include studies on post-Soviet political, social and cultural changes through the prism of nationhood and nationalism.
